About Eleanor Ash
I've spent many years as a foster parent in rural Alberta. Time and time again I've watched as our system has failed the people who need it the most.
We need to teach children to learn who they are, and help them use their special skills and talents to help others. Without access to mental health support, this won't happen.
Our kids need help learning how to express their feelings, emotions, hopes, and dreams.
Think of these resources as training wheels. Your kids won't need them forever, but you can use them to create and encourage the development of healthy habits!

What's left when things calm down?
Also included are some strategies you can practise with your child.

Home reading sucks.
I said it.
It's a fight every night - and half the time the kids read the words on the page but don't actually comprehend them.
Unique prompts for each book encourage the child to put the words together into something that has meaning.
If you're going to have "the fight" you might as well make it count!
Encyclopedias might be a thing of the past, but research projects still exist.
Suitable for grades 3+
This guide takes children through the research process step by step in a way that will allow them to piece together a final report at the end.
Research is a skill.
Books like this encourage your child to practise it!

Whether you are juggling custody or have a lot of "professionals" in your life, keeping track of what everyone is looking for is hard.
Use this book to keep everyone focused and on the same page with special tools for tracking specific behaviours of your choice!
Addiction and accidents take people away from us before they've had a chance to fully share their story. Use this book to document as much as possible and create a family history that can be copied and passed on.
Different sections are devoted to documenting important things like family success stories, food, and celebrations.
